Trip down to the Keys... Key Largo tonight!

Deb and Gerard continued on with their vacation plans for their trip, which includes a trip to Key West, that Judy and I have joined them on.

Today we headed from Frostproof down to Key Largo. It was about a 4 and 1/2 hour drive in excellent conditions.

We are staying tonight in a Key Largo Kampground, that sure smells like it used to be a KOA Kampground. Does the building above not look familiar to KOA???

Deb was hard at getting the trailer unhooked with Gerard's help, after we landed around 3:30 this afternoon.

Judy is sneaking back to our campsite after going down and checking out the beach. We are only about 200 feet or so from the beach.

Our Kampground is on a small bay, but only a very short boat ride out to the Atlantic Ocean.

We have a cactus plant on out site, and it is currently in bloom... looking good!

We also have our very own Tiki Hut at the back of our site!

We all enjoyed refreshments under the shade of our hut tonight after we landed...

Tomorrow there might be some snorkelling in store... we shall see. Gotta go for now, listening to the Leaf Game.

Till tomorrow...

  1. That office building looks like the one at Miami Everglades RV Park but it's not a KOA either. The strange thing is we are at the Sugar Loaf KOA (mile marker 20) and it doesn't even look like that. It has a flat roof and a licensed Tiki Bar by the pool.
    Be Safe and Enjoy!

    It's about time.

  3. I love those Tiki Huts that provide shade. The beach scene is enough to draw anyone to the area.
